The Flounder lifetime deal is going away. If you want a one-time payment for long-term Pro-tier hosting, now is the time to decide.
Sales end July 1, 2026. After that date, Flounder is off the menu for new buyers.
What Flounder gets you
Flounder is our lifetime Pro offer: pay once, host for as long as PocketHost exists. You get unlimited instances, unlimited bandwidth, and unlimited storage under our Fair Use policy. Plus the #onlyflounders Discord channel, priority support, and the rest of the perks on the pricing page.
It has been one of the best deals we have ever offered. That is exactly why we cannot keep it open forever.
What happens on July 1
- New visitors will not see Flounder as an option after July 1.
- Existing PocketHost accounts that were registered before July 1 get a 30-day grace window to buy Flounder if they still want it. If you already have an account on the sunset date, you have until July 31 to complete checkout.
- Current Flounder subscribers are grandfathered. Nothing changes for you.
We are sending an email to all users with the same timeline and links. If you are on the fence, watch your inbox or head to pricing while the offer is still live.
Why we are closing it
Lifetime tiers made sense when PocketHost was bootstrapping. They helped us fund global edge infrastructure and kept early believers on the platform for years.
Going forward, recurring subscriptions are how we sustain hosting, pay for storage, and ship features like Auto Vacuum and SFTP file access. Retiring Flounder is part of a broader pricing refresh we have been planning. More on that later.
If you want the deal
- Create or log in to your account.
- Visit pricing and choose Flounder.
- Complete checkout before July 1 (or before July 31 if you already had an account on July 1).
